Second Amendment

As a young man, still in elementary school, I memorized the words of the second amendment to the Bill of Rights. “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” I had no problems understanding those words when I was young, and I have no problem understanding them today. The right was understood by our Founding Fathers as a God given right, and in the second amendment they are acknowledging and guaranteeing that this right will not be infringed. Armed citizens are critical for the security of society, and whether you are carrying arms to defend you, your family, or your property or simply to enjoy outdoor sports, I unapologetically support this important right.
